The Role Outline
Due to our on-going success we are looking to expand our sales team and require a Business Development Manager to join the team in building new business relationships. The Business Development Manager will report directly to the Head of Sales.
You will be highly motivated and determined to reach sales targets, able to identify and procure new business. You will need excellent networking and negotiating skills with the ability to deal comfortably with all levels of senior management from Company Directors to Technical Specialists. Flexible to travel across the UK and Europe meeting new business prospects, you will have a clear understanding of the payments sector and be a natural forward planner who critically assesses own performance.
The responsibilities include:
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities as well as responding to direct sales enquiries,
driving revenue growth by meeting and exceeding targets.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including clients, partners and industry influencers.
• Preparation and delivery of presentations to prospective clients as well as calculation of commercials proposals.
• Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for expansion.
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences and networking functions.
• Provide regular updates and reports to management on business development activities and results.
• Maintain accurate records through the use of the CRM platform.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop customised solutions for clients.
• Coordinate projects with internal/external departments and implementation team.
Competencies, Knowledge & Skills, Experience
• Excellent organisational/admin skills.
• Proven track record of success in face-to-face direct sales, B2B and Business Development.
• Strong understanding of financial products and services.
• Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and partners.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Knowledge of prepaid or financial services is an advantage.
• Confident in dealing at board level.
• Other European language an advantage.
The holder of this position will be expected to pass the required background checks in line with the Bank’s policy
