Role Outline

This position will assist the business with daily banking operational tasks and client data management functions within strict compliance with the Bank’s risk appetite and regulatory requirements.

The successful candidate will support the Operations team to input client information and data, perform due diligence checks, review KYC documentation, risk assessments and prepare packs for regular client reviews. They will also assist with the day-to-day client management functions, to ensure positive client experiences and efficient operational processes.

Working with colleagues from the Operations, Relationship Management, and Compliance Teams, the successful candidate will contribute to the short and long-term needs of the business.

• Input of customer data into the banking systems.
• Work with the banking systems in the opening and maintenance of accounts.
• To assist with the provision of SLA’s and MIS Reporting to the Payments and Operations Team Leader.
• To assist the team with the management of the client onboarding process and liaise with the relevant teams.
• To assist with the documentation of processes and procedures and suggest process improvements.
• Provide KPI updates to the business as and when required.
• Reviewing client documentation, know your client (KYC) screening, carrying out due diligence analysis (CDD) to ensure compliance with AML/KYC regulatory requirements.

• Reviewing alerts arising from the screening of clients against Sanctions lists, watch lists and other databases in accordance with applicable AML/KYC regulatory requirements.
• To develop an understanding of the business and its associated products, to assist with the capture of all relevant client data and details within the Bank’s operating systems and maintain exceptional standards of accuracy.
• Prepare packs for the review of client data and refresh as appropriate, upon anniversary or trigger events as and when they occur.
• To adhere to internal compliance and operational risk controls in accordance with regulatory standards and Bank policies, and to report identified control weaknesses and compliance breaches to the department team leader.
• To help ensure a positive client experience in light of increased regulatory requirements.
• To help where required on an ad-hoc basis to other Operational teams.
• To remain updated with relevant Regulation and Industry Knowledge.

 

Experience, competencies, Knowledge

• Experience in an operational role is desirable.
• Previous experience in working with company structures.
• Experience in working within a regulated industry

Knowledge and Skills

• Familiarity with AML/KYC regulations and industry guidelines is a plus.
• Self-motivated.
• Good level of competency with MS Office including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Fluent in English – verbal and written.
• An ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.

 

The holder of this position will be expected to pass the required background checks in line with the Bank’s policy.
