Role Outline
As a Corporate Banking Relationship Manager you will be responsible for cultivating and managing relationships with corporate clients. Your role involves understanding clients’ financial needs, offering tailored banking solutions, and ensuring client satisfaction. Additionally, you will be required to analyse financial data, assess risk, and collaborate with internal teams to deliver comprehensive banking services to corporate customers.

Main responsibilities include:
Client Relationship Management
• Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients.
• Understand the client’s financial needs, goals, and challenges.
• Act as the main point of contact between the bank and the corporate client.
• Assist clients in making informed financial decisions.
Financial Analysis
• Analyse the financial health and performance of corporate clients.
• Assess creditworthiness and evaluate risk associated with lending to the client.
• Monitor financial statements, cash flows, and other relevant financial metrics.
Credit Management – (Future state)
• Work with credit analysts to prepare and present credit proposals to the credit committee.
• Negotiate terms and conditions for credit facilities with clients.
• Monitor and manage credit exposure and risk.
Product Knowledge
• Stay informed about the bank’s products and services.
• Identify opportunities to cross-sell and upsell banking products to meet client needs.
• Develop a sound understanding of payments and cards.
Collaboration with Internal Teams
• Coordinate with various internal departments such as risk management, legal, and
operations to ensure smooth client transactions.
• Collaborate with other business units within the bank to provide comprehensive financial
solutions to clients.
Market Research
• Maintain a deep understanding of the Gibraltar market, industries, trends, key organisations and individuals.
• Stay updated on industry trends and market conditions that may impact clients.
• Provide clients with insights on market developments.
Regulatory Compliance
• Ensure that all banking activities comply with relevant laws and regulations.
• Stay informed about changes in regulations that may impact clients or the banking relationship.
Problem Resolution
• Address and resolve any issues or concerns raised by clients.
• Act as a liaison between the client and the bank to ensure effective problem resolution.
Client Retention
• Develop strategies to retain existing clients and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Proactively identify and address any potential issues that may impact the client relationship.
Networking
• Attend industry events, conferences, and networking functions to expand the bank’s client base and strengthen existing relationships.

• Experience in conducting and maintaining risk assessments

• Strong understanding of financial markets, banking products and regulatory frameworks
• Adaptability and problem-solving skills
Experience/knowledge
• Previous experience in Corporate Banking Relationship Management
• Banking/ finance qualifications preferable
• Local business knowledge required
