Role Outline
We are looking for an experienced Business Systems Manager with financial services experience in a licensed entity. The role will manage the Bank’s business systems on a day-to-day basis and the main responsibilities include:
• Manages development, maintenance and improvements to the Bank’s core banking platform and other line of business systems, ensuring they meet internal and external stakeholder needs.
• Manage day to day relationships with system vendors, acting as the primary liaison for issue resolution, maintenance, and change requests.
• Ensure system stability and adherence to SLAs, serving as front-line support for system issues, analysis, and troubleshooting.
• Advise executive teams and Committees on business system matters, including presenting business cases and impact assessments for system upgrades.
• Maintain understanding of system data models to support regulatory and operational data reporting requirements.
• Stay informed on banking technologies and market trends to support decision-making.
• Develop and maintain process maps for all business systems including the core banking system and identify operational efficiency.
• Lead business analysis efforts to gather requirements, document changes, and engage with vendors for effective implementation.
• Track vendor deliverables, ensuring timely execution and compliance with agreed service levels.
• Manage new system implementation projects, including planning, testing, and stakeholder engagement.
• Design and execute testing plans for new system deliveries, tracking results and ensuring successful deployment
• Oversee and implement configuration changes, ensuring risk assessment and proper documentation.
• Maintain organized system environments, configuration documentation, and deployment logs.
• Provide 1st and 2nd level support for business systems, collaborating with the IT Manager on access control, user support, and changes.
• Support business teams in developing and maintaining operational procedures related to business systems.
Competencies, Knowledge & Skills
• Understanding of Banking and Financial services and associated software and ancillary technology.
• Experience leading design and implementation of critical core financial services related platforms and systems.
• Exposure to Digital and Cloud technologies.
• Technically competent in software development lifecycle and Project Management and Change Control.
• A thorough understanding of the regulatory environment in financial services.
• Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence.

• Self-starter, with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively.
• Strong organisational skills, ability to meet tight deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
• Focused individual that is personable with excellent attention to detail.
• Able to express complex issues to diverse and sometimes non-technical audiences at all levels of an organisation.
• Logical thinker, able to visualise and predict how complex systems will behave in scenarios.
• Good decision making capabilities with a pragmatic approach.

• Ability to clearly document and process map.
